Most of the programs available to teach Arabic are based on the building of the student’s mathematical grammar and syntax skills, hoping that with time and a lot of effort, such skills would become communicative skills. Such a methodology, although slow, might be successful provided that the student has a proficient teacher who possess and has endless tolerance and patience, which both have become almost rare nowadays.
On the contrary to the foregoing, Sinaat-ulkalam program is based on the idea of links innovated by Al-Shadi Saud Al Harkan that believes that the language, in reality, is nothing more than communicative tools through which we express ideas and thoughts. All what a student needs to develop his language abilities is the ability to construct ideas as a first step, and then develop “industrial” techniques to express these ideas. “Industrial” here means the ability to construct and reconstruct through pre-drawn blueprints that do not negatively affect the student’s creative aptitudes.
